Microsoft apps update brings Office elements to Nokia Belle smartphones

Nokia and Microsoft’s partnership is growing stronger than ever and to prove it, Microsoft has released a multitude of Office apps for Nokia Belle smartphones. Starting today, the first installment of MS Office apps will bring OneNote (allows you to create notebook and saves it on SkyDrive), Document Connection (lets you see all your documents in one glimpse), Lync (allows you to chat with all your colleagues using IM) and PowerPoint Broadcast (enables you to share your PowerPoint presentations from your PC via your phone). Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint will come in the second wave of MS apps, of course in near future, but no specific date has been provided. This will be the first time Microsoft is providing its Office software as native apps on any non-Microsoft smartphone platform.

The Nokia Belle smartphones which will get these free apps and will consequently try to seek some attention of the corporate crowd are the Nokia E7, C7, C6-01, X7, 700, 701, 603 and the Oro. Unfortunately, the Nokia N8, E6 and the 500 will have to wait a little longer to get support for these MS Office apps.
