LG Optimus True HD LTE now official, marries a 4.5" high-resolution RGB screen with German LTE

LG Optimus True HD LTE now official, marries a 4.5" high-resolution RGB screen with German LTE
Six months after the original introduction, the LG Optimus True HD LTEhas finally arrived in its European reincarnation. German carrier subscribers will be able to get it soon for a price yet not specified.

Why "True HD" you ask? Well, LG is adamant to point out its 720p screen is done with a regular RGB matrix, not the alternative PenTile arrangement of Samsung's HD Super AMOLED displays. Not that you notice much the use of PenTile on a 1280x720, or even 1280x800 pixels screens of the Galaxy Nexus and Galaxy Note, but RGB is what we are used to since we were little geeks.

About the LTE part, LG has graced the Optimus True HD with frequencies that will allow you to take advantage of the speedy Long Term Evolution networks of German carriers, where available. Which exactly carriers will be getting it also wasn't specified, but the rest of the specs stay the same - 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S3, 1GB of RAM and 8MP camera.

Unfortunately, the latest iteration of LG's Optimus LTE is still on Gingerbread, but a few beta ICS leaks are making the rounds in the forums, so hopefully LG will keep its Android 4.0 update promise for Q3.
