Karbonn Mobiles to launch its own instant messenger and free pushmail

News is abuzz that Indian handset vendor Karbonn Mobiles is geared up to launch its own instant messenger for mobile phones (similar to BBM or Samsung’s ChatOn service) which are priced below Rs 5,000. According to an Economic Times report, the vendor will also introduce its pushmail service within the next 10 days. The instant messaging and e-mail services will be offered free of cost for the first few months except for data charges from the operator.

Karbonn Mobiles will introduce its first phone featuring the new Karbonn Instant Messaging (KIM) service next week and the name of the handset would be KT21. When launched, this touch-and-type model is expected retail for around Rs 4,990. Recently, Karbonn had collaborated with Dolby Laboratories which means these upcoming models with instant messenger and pushmail, will also feature Dolby Sound tech.
