Nokia Asha touch phones get Mail for Exchange client

Nokia today launched a Mail for Exchange client for its Asha touch phones. The service currently supports the Asha 308, Asha 309, Asha 310 and Asha 311 models. It does not seem to support the recently announced Asha 501 but hopefully it should once the phone is launched next month.

With Mail for Exchange support, users will be able to get push email facility as well as the ability to sync contacts, calendars apart from emails. Of course, it depends on whether the user’s email service provider supports Mail for Exchange or not. Unfortunately, Google recently dropped support for the protocol, else it would have been a great option to sync one’s contacts and calendars.

Nevertheless, it is great news for Asha users, especially those whose official emails suppor Mail for Exchange.
