OnePlus 2 will come with 4GB LPDDR4 RAM

The OnePlus 2 is about to get launched in a few weeks' time, on July 27, in what is touted as the world's first virtual-reality product announcement, and the maker behind the second generation "flagship killer" is giving us nonchalant sneak peeks at the phone's hardware internals.

After it became clear that the OnePlus 2 will come with a Snapdragon 810 chipset, a USB Type-C port, and will cost less than $450, it now becomes clear that the OnePlus 2 will be a champ in the RAM department as well.

It was formally announced that the handset will feature 1GB of RAM more than its predecessor - 4GB of RAM will be a prominent part of the OnePlus 2's specs sheet. This will put it on par with a handful of other heavy-weight RAM champions.

What's more, the RAM will be of the LPDDR4 type, which bears a lot of pretty nice improvements over the LPDDR3 of memory that is still domineering the handset market.
